The LEARNING CULTURES NETWORK addresses learning, education and diversity in the digital age from a transdisciplinary perspective.
Learning, education and diversity are concepts central to pedagogical theory and practice. Pedagogical practice is currently undergoing fundamental changes. Conditions of cultural diversity and ongoing media change raise twin challenges:
- To provide an interdisciplinary reconceptual approach to the concepts of learning and education, and thus
- To develop new theories and methods resulting in action strategies for contemporary educational practice.
This type of heuristic approach requires an appropriate transdisciplinary polylogue.
One aim of this international network is to foster that exchange, and provide a platform for transdisciplinary encounters, discussions and research.
